NEA PAC fundraising incentives for Saturday, July 5
NJEA would like to continue being the top contributor to NEA’s Political Action Fund (PAC). The goal of NEA PAC is to support elected officials who support our professional autonomy and curriculum that is inclusive of all our history. Help us maintain our goal as the top contributor by making a donation. Here are today’s incentives:

Congratulations to the newly elected NEA Resolutions Committee

In yesterday’s NJEA election for the NEA Resolutions Committee, the following members were elected: James Frazier (Union County), Christal White (Essex County), April Brown (Camden County), Jeremias (Middlesex County), Akil Khalfani (Higher Ed), Ebony Freeman (Camden County), Sharon Ortiz (Essex County), Ted Graham (Passaic County), and Jaclyn Headlam (Middlesex County). Congratulations, delegates!
NJAEA president elected Region 1 Director of Aspiring Educators Caucus

Nadine Handy-Collins (Hudson County), who served 28 years as a special education teacher in Jersey City and 15 years as an NEA RA delegate is retiring. This is her last NEA RA and her leadership will truly be missed. Nadine, your JCEA and HCEA colleagues and fellow delegates hope this new journey leads to great blessings, keeps you in great health, and brings you never ending happiness. Delegates meet former educator and mayor of Denver

New Jersey delegates Angela Castaneda, Mariellen Bradley, Rachel Cunningham, and Kim Mack from Mercer County were out and about and met the mayor of Denver. His name is Mike Johnston and he is a former teacher and administrator. It’s always great when public school educators get to serve in public office.
Somerset County delegates attend a Rockies game

Delegates from Somerset County attended the Rockies vs. Giants game at Coors Field on Friday, July 3. The Rockies secured a decisive 15-3 victory over the Giants, powered by Jake McCarthy, who hit both a leadoff home run and a grand slam, driving in a career-high six runs. But, the real winners were the delegates who got to enjoy being at the ballpark together.
